Robin cut my hair back in the 70's and I would get stopped and asked "who does your hair?" I moved to Texas but when I would come to Wichita to visit I would always try and get in with him. He did my hair the day of my 20th class reunion. He also had the makeup artist at the salon do my makeup at no charge. What a guy. Well I have moved back and he cut my hair today and as usual he does not disappoint. The salon is a great space surrounded by wildlife. So glad he is still doing hair. Billie Davison via Google

Diane Carlton-Bartlett is an amazing stylist and colorist! I first went to Diane when she was at the original Wilborn Hair Co. on Douglas. She has given me many great haircuts over the years. Now that a few years have passed and my naturally red hair has a few white invaders, I have resorted to coloring to keep them at bay. Diane has skillfully created a blend of colors that matches my natural red hair color. I love that my hair looks natural even in natural light, not too violet or too orange. I had my hair cut and colored at Wilborn Hair and had an AWESOME time!! I got pointers on how best to wash and dry my hair that I had no idea about and my hair has never felt better. I also had a hard time deciding on a color and was giving a new color that was a combination of the two that I liked!! My hair has never been this easy to style and take care of now that I know the proper way to do it, so going from wearing a ponytail/messy bun for the last two years to wearing my hair down every day has really boosted my self esteem. As part of my birthday present from my husband, I made an appointment for the first time with Gina at Wilborn and "WOW" what a gift it ended up being. Gina was so easy to talk to and consulted with me about what I wanted more than any other stylist I've ever gone to prior. Then, when it came to shampooing my hair, the massage she gave not only to my head, but my neck, was so relaxing. Gina also cut my hair better than other stylists who charged much more! I found Gina at Wilborn from reviewing the reviews on Google and Wilborn's FB. I scheduled an appointment with Gina and then cancelled it since I did not know anyone personally that have gone to Gina. I ended up rescheduling and tried her. I am so glad I did. I got the best service, best hair cut and best weave ever. Gina took a lot of time with me on my first visit to be sure I was happy with the colors I picked for my weave. I went into this salon and boy was I in for a surprise. You will be pampered and this place can not even compare to other salons. I was amazed at how much detail and attention they pay to your hair. They will listen to exactly what you want and also give their opinion on what they think will look best if you don't have an idea of what you want. This is not an in and out salon, but I'm sure if you are short on time they will do their best to get you out on time. It is also not like a typical salon atmosphere as it is quite small, like a hidden gem. I got a cut and color and am in love with it. My girlfriend goes to Gina at Wilborn's and she shared nothing but top notch recommendations. I was a little skeptical at first because I am usually a $7 haircut kind of person; get in, get out; hair is shorter. But after an hour long session at Wilborn's I felt like a special customer. I came into Wilborn Hair Co. for the first time, very anxious and unsure about change. I have had pretty much the same look for most of my adult life. After talking through what I knew I didn't want, and some general ideas about what I did want or liked, Robin took over and and worked his magic with my hair. Not only did I get an awesome cut and color, but I was told how to care for my hair to keep it as healthy as possiable and looking great! Gina took over for a fabulous makeover that included a mani, pedi, and makeup. I was treated like a princess, and came out looking like a queen! What a wonderful experience! I first started going to Robin 27 years ago. Even in the hustle and bustle of his business on Douglas I was impressed by the personal attention he gave from day one. When he moved his salon to his home I was quick to follow. No one has ever been able to coax my hair into doing anything it didn't want to do until Robin. Robin Wilborn is a hair "artist." He understands hair, how it lays best, and will style to suit the client. He is a perfectionist and no one leaves his salon without every hair in place and his work meticulous. He is very intelligent and a great conversationalist on most any subject. I moved from NYC to Wichita and was very nervous about finding a hair stylist. How lucky I was to find Robin! I have never had a stylist who spent so much time listening to what I wanted, asking questions about my lifestyle, and working with me to determine what would work best for my hair. The salon is so relaxed (and dog friendly!), and Robin is a warm, interesting, and fun person to talk with. Hands down the best salon in Wichita. Through the years of being dragged from many different salons by my mother, this is definitely the one that has stuck! The experience is so serene and peaceful. Being new to Wichita, I was nervous about finding a stylist but I hit the gold mine with Robin.
